Supporting the Mission Through A Bequest

Supporting the Mission Through A Bequest

Chuck graduated with a politics degree from DeSales in 1982. Since graduating, he has been an active and enthusiastic supporter of the University and its mission-particularly its focus on the teaching of St. Francis de Sales.

Chuck: I give because I believe in the University and its mission to really educate students in the Christian Humanist tradition.

In addition to his time spent as a student, Chuck has been a member of the president's council for about 20 years. As a member of the council and as an alumnus, Chuck and his wife, Anne (a 1980 DeSales graduate) wanted to ensure that the University's mission was supported for the benefit of future students. They decided that for them, the best way to do this was through a bequest.

Chuck: I thought a bequest would be a way that we could help the University continue its mission, which we so strongly believe in. While my wife and I had really thought about it on our own, we did speak with Fr. Gambet (president emeritus at DeSales). He was a joy to work with.

You also may want to make it easy and convenient to have a bequest included in your will. The language below shows how a bequest can very easily be included in your will.
