Life Insurance to Support the University Mission

For more than 20 years, Alvina and her late husband, Bob, have supported DeSales University and its students. Not only does she support the University monitarily, but she has also served on both the president's council and the board of trustees at the University.

Alvina: I give to the University because I really strongly believe in the mission of DeSales as a Catholic institution, and I have great respect for the Oblates and the Salesian tradition.

In addition to dedicating her time to various events and boards, Alvina has taken out two insurance policies to benefit the University. She has also set up two charitable remainder trusts.

Alvina: My husband and I wanted to support the institution and using the insurance policy vehicle suited our needs and the needs of the University very well. It was very easy to set these up with DeSales.
